What is meant by the soul?

so you know animals don't have souls? how?
iI could argue that my dog showed plenty of signs she had a soul, on the note we are part of nature so your statement is kind of meaningless

from your first post, all i read was the typical, "man is better than everything else because they have a soul" junk
being that unless you can detect a soul, i don't see why saying what you said is meaningful
