Read this about Polar bears, under locomotion in "Behavior and ecology" section. Notice what it says about bear/dog and cat speed, strength and mobility of limb movement:

read this moron
Although the largest brown bears are now found in Alaska, it has been claimed by some authorities (Lydekker, 1901; Hittell, 1860) that the grizzlies which formerly inhabited the high peaks of the Sierra Nevada Range were, in fact, the heaviest of them all, weights of 1700 lb 771 kg and 1800 lb 816 kg being regularly attained. While these poundages must be considered somewhat excessive, it is interesting to see that Rowland Ward list a Nevada grizzly of 1536 lb 697 kg in their 1907 edition. The bear, shot by W F Sheard in 1881, was stated to have measured 11 ft 6 in 3.5 m in length (skin) and 10 ft 2 in 3.10 m across the outstretched front paws. Source: Gerald Wood's The Guinness Book of Animal Facts and Feats, p. 27 (3rd edition). bears experienced dwarfinism i hope you kno what that is, so their size decreased due to humans, these bears according to my reliable source were larger than coastals, so who should i believe a biast moron or the guiness book of animal facts lol so considering the guiness book of animal facts says these were the largest bears it seems unfiar to pit one with a lion Edited by bcw3, : No reason given.

omg reduced collarbones reduce upmost strength moron, also you are an idiot according to wolverines the misunderstood devil if a wolverine was the size of a grizzly bear it would be the strongest animal in the world, so their goes ur bears strongest for their size crap, also read tiger by steven mills, he says generally female tigers will avoid sloth bears, while male tigers like b2 have been known to chase and kill sloth bears and displace them off kills, so it seems male tigers are to much for sloth bears
also moron not all cats avoid conflict male lions dont

idiot the reason sloth bears dont fear injury is because they can just switch over to plants untill their injury heals idiot, where as a tiger thats injured will starve

so it seems that according to the two books i posted tigers kill sloth bears for food and in fights
anyway regarding your bear being the strongest animal for its size read this If wolverines were the size of a bear, they'd be the strongest animal on Earth. Page not found - Welcome to NIHO Land & Cattle Company Ltd. so i guess that theory is out the window

bcw3 writes: Sloth Bears aren't carnivores They are ominovres, as I stated (and you ignored)and DO eat meat as well as plants and bugs, though very rarely. And they are in the order CARNIVORA, so they ARE carnivores. You call me a fool one more time or do another annoying "LOL" then i will take it that you will not have any evidence other than childish insults to back your claims. bcw3 writes: reduced collarbones reduce utmost strength moron And yet YOU forget that Cats ALSO HAVE REDUCED COLLARBONES. SOME DONT HAVE'EM AT ALL.
bcw3 writes: If a wolverine where the size of a Grizzly Bear it would be the strongest animal in the world And as I said in message 66, Badgers are probably stronger weight-for-weight than bears or cats. And bears are more physically powerful than animals the SAME SIZE. Wolverines are not as big as bears. "The Nephilim where in the Earth in those days..." Genesis 6:4

Oh, so NOW THERE BIOLOGISTS. Where's the credentials?? Are they EXPERTS at COMPARATIVE MAMMAl CARNIVORE MORPHOLOGY??? ID rather trust scientists who know how both animals are built than three so-called Biologists who have some kinda itch about dem collarbones.
