I'm sure there is also a reference to God failing to kill someone? (anyone?)
Exodus 4:24?
And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him.

I suppose we could also say that God (Jesus) failed to keep any promises He made.

Certainly not AK, dunno about AP
In Genesis it is clear that God didn't know everything, Genesis 3:8-11 perhaps the best examples.
Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"
God didn't know where they were hiding.
And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?"
God didn't know who told them they were naked AND He didn't know if they had ate the fruit or not.

Jesus multilingual genius
If Jesus didn't speak Greek, then how did this conversation occur?
Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him, "Are you the king of the Jews?"
"Is that your own idea," Jesus asked, "or did others talk to you about me?"
"Am I a Jew?" Pilate replied. "It was your people and your chief priests who handed you over to me. What is it you have done?"
Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place."
"You are a king, then!" said Pilate.
Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."
Since the conversation was held in private between Jesus and Pilate, I think there was more chance of Jesus speaking Greek than there was of Pilate speaking Aramaic!
Being God and all, surely speaking Greek would be easy to Jesus?
Brian.

plot hole
Another possibility is that it's just a plot-hole.
I don;t think for a second that the conversation actually took place, the problem of which language the conversation is just one of the clues that it is a work of fiction. Other clues? Well, who recorded the convo if only Jesus and Pilate were the only two people present?
(Was Pilate in the habit of having private conversations with prisoners?)
Not that I am aware of, and also the so-called custom of letting a prisoner go at Passover is laughable and has no foundation in reality. Who in their right mind would think that the Romans would free someone such as Barabbas, an alleged 'notorious' prisoner and possible murderer?
In fact, the whole arrest, trial, and crucifixion narratives reek of fiction.
I recall posting this topic a while ago, it has some interesting info.
Brian.
