The key point is that insect wing evolution is simply not even a minor problem for Evolution or the TOE. We know several examples of critters that have evolved, lost and then re-evolved wings, we have a model and mechanism that can explain the process, we have examples of various stages in the development of wings, and the fact that some interesting steps along the way may be missing from the current fossil record is no problem at all.
This thread is a classic example of such issues. The initial OP said that no information could be found. When examples were presented the response was either "Oh I knew about that but it doesn't count" or when that was addressed, "Oh that only addresses those specifics, I wanted information on something else."
What is missing is some other model that does a better job of explaining insect wings than the current models.
Until that happens, until the Creationists can present the models that explain what is seen, all of what is seen, at least as well as the current models, the only game, the only theory, the only avenue towards knowledge is the current scientific one.
