I was just wondering if anyone here frequents the TWeb debate forum and what you thought of it.
I visit regularly, but don't post much. I find it too frustrating and a waste of time. I mostly go to watch the Socrates show.

The Cult of Socrates
I sometimes take a look, but it does seem to be dominated by "Socrates" and his worshippers. If I were as biased as Sarf...."Socrates" then I would be insistign that he couldn't be a real Christian because he was using the name of a pagan philosopher, condemned for atheism.

Re: The Cult of Socrates
Yes, I noticed his cult is getting much stronger now. A couple of the moderators, one especially, are extremely protective of him. One little insult thrown his way and the culprit is immediately pounced upon.
As for his chosen handle, I'm sure he's had a response to such an accusation ready to go since he started at TWeb.
I find it fascinating to read his posts sometimes. How can any one person consistently insult so many people, so many times, and in so many ways??? Now that takes talent!
Socrates is an intelligent man, no doubt, but I can't say much for his current state of mind.

[Although this *is* the unmoderated Free For All forum, it is the concensus of EvC Forum administrators that this post was sufficiently indecent and personal to warrant deletion, and at the request of the affected party this has been done. No record is being kept of the contents of this message, which were off-topic anyway. --Admin]
