Well, I thank you very kindly, sah. I have to admit that one of the avatars I find most intriguing is yours. My imagination keeps conjuring up meanings along the lines of "Mr. H has lost his marbles."
I have an incredible palmcorder tape of a largish male quetzal sitting on a branch, flicking his tail and chirping at us to lure us away from his nest hole. Someday I'll get around to figuring out how to digitize the image, freeze frame the best shot, computer-enhance the pixels, etc and post it. My avatar is actually a sculpture by the outstanding bird artist Daniel McQuestion. It's very difficult to get a decent pic of these elusive critters.

Re: Convergent Ava-lution
I am thoroughly embarassed to admit I had no idea who Tera Patrick was until I googled on the name after your post. Now I, ahem, know (note to self: clear browser history).
Evidence that you are getting old #4872: You no longer recognize the names of the stars of certain film, erm, genres.

I think messanjah's new avatar is very cool. I'm not being facetious - even totally faked as it undoubtedly is, wouldn't it be a total kick if we discovered a bipedal skeleton with a dome like that one? If we couldn't show that it was terrestrial (i.e., fitting into an existing lineage through other evidence), I'd probably go with "alien" rather than demon, but still...
