If you are blind, the chance to touch the statue of David - indeed even if you are not blind - as a way of grokking what David may have been in the past - even if reconstructed as it is in the imagination, but not having alien tentacles sprouting from it head and large wheel-like things instead of what we generally regard as human feet.
