That is still 372,000 interactions along the way.
That's less interactions then the photon would go though in a μm of STP hydrogen at .999868c. So 1.51011 meters at c, plus 1 μm at .999868c comes out to .99999999999999999999999c. All in favor of rounding up raise your hand.
