FireFox Problem?

After again being up for weeks and weeks, the server evidently crashed yesterday afternoon just after I left work for a busy evening agenda that meant I couldn't check the website again until this morning. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Some browsers are more touchy about this than others, but let me explain what is happening.When you reply to a message you'll see a pair of radio buttons in the upper right hand corner of the message you're replying to. They're labeled "Normal" and "Peek Mode". Clicking back and forth between these radio buttons changes the display of the message between normal mode and peek mode. Normal mode is the text you'll usually see displayed for a message, while peek mode is the actual original text of the message including all HTML and dBCodes. The way this is done is that both versions of the message are present, but only one of them is visible at a time.Some browsers are a little touchy and if you select the normal text but go one little bit past the last displayed character, then it also selects the hidden peek mode text. And if you're in peek mode and you select a little bit before the first character, then it also selects the hidden normal text. You can eliminate the problem if you're careful about selecting text.I've got a few free moments right now, so I'll take a look and see if I can modify my approach a little bit so Firefox doesn't make this mistake, but no promises.

Sorry, FF is dumb as a log about this. It doesn't care whether hidden text is in a <div> or a <table>, it still allows you to cut-n-paste it, even though you can't see it and don't know it isn't there. This is an FF bug, and it's possible that IE may have it, too. You'll just have to be careful selecting text.

I decided to try a few more things. I changed the positioning to absolute and moved the hidden text a thousand pixels off the page, but FF still selected it anyway. I also tried setting the display parameter to values like block and table, and that didn't work either. I Googled around looking for a workaround, but no luck. Sorry.
