My dentist has learned not to bother with normal doses of lidocaine anymore. He once shot me three times, with no effect. We had to reschedule.Perhaps if he had told me it was some really high-grade Peruvian lidocaine that had made the ears and shoulders of some patients go numb, I might have placeboed my way through that root canal.
