Hi NedI would be surprised if Bob just mailed Messenjah out of the blue, I suspect that there was some initial exchange, unless Bob found Messenjah's email somewhere.I could post literally hundred of emails from Xians who are particularly nasty towards me LOL one of the latest even accused me of being the 'Son of Stan [sic]' LOL.I suppose if it was an unsolicited email then it is acceptable.What I was getting at was in regard to this I think an unoffensive email may be part of a private debate that the other person may not wish to be made public, maybe it is just me, but I think it is very bad manners.Brian.[This message has been edited by Brian, 10-25-2003]

HiDo you think that instead of calling into question the quality of Argentinian education, that perhaps that e-mail may not have been from a student at all? (the e-mail was originally sent to messenjah, not me)It seems such a basic error that it is difficult to imagine a student making such a mistake, perhpas they were pretending to a student to have a bit more 'authority' behind their arguments.Brian (Son of Stan)

Hi,Convetional wisdom and good manners isn't the same thing. I realise that e-mail isnt exactly the most secure form of communication, but to have the contents of a private discussion made public by the intended recipient is, IMO, bad manners. It is different if someone gets a hold of the email who wasn;t supposed to get hold of it, there really isn't the same trust involved. You forget that we didn't see what M had written to Bob! LOL How do we know that M hadn't provoked Bob into this manic response? Not everyone has the same patience as we do Brian.

Hi,Well, apparently without God we have no reason to be moral at all. We only have a conscience because God put it there, if there is no God then there is no reason to be nice to each other. If there is no God then we have no reason for being here, it is just another ludicrous example of theist brainwashing because there was a time when the existence of a conscience was taken as proof of God's existence, coming to think of it, it probably still is taken as proof by some people!But if we have no one to answer to when we die, then we can be as nasty as we want to be. This doesn't explain why there are more Christians in jail than atheists of course, but this isn't a problem when you only see what you went to see.Brian.
