Florida educations standards must be as competent as their ability to run an organized vote....but the no diseases are caused by bacteria was a nice one...glad he was not sleeping through microbiology

quote: ******************************* I did not backtrack through the entire forum but why does the Gainsville news run an evolution versus creation site? Another huge red flag is that he quoted Full Metal Jacket and used Rush Limbaugh turns of phrase. He also claimed that all scientists wear coke bottle glasses LOL! He probably thinks that a giant lizard periodically destroys Tokyo because he saw it on tv once or twice...or in his microbiolgy class

I think, what we have all thus far missed, is that he claims to have studied Drosophila in a microbiology class, but claims to have a chemistry degree! Hmmmmmmmm?

Moose ----- I'll leave it where it is for now, but this seems to be more of a "Free For All" type topic. Adminnemooseus

Although I find poor Mark's opponents to be pretty silly (I assume you're the "professor" referred to?), someone on that thread DID pique my curiosity.
Scott: I've seen your work on a bunch of different boards. It's usually pretty-well-thought-out, and often copiously referenced and documented. How the hell DO you find the time to be all over the net like that?

quote: Ever heard of aposter going by The Barbarian? Now THAT guy is ubiquitous and far more referenced and thought out than anything I do.. Anyway, thanks, but my posts in the last couple of years tend to be on the short side. I have found that it is more rewarding to try to "expose" creationists and their flawed understandings of science than to actually try to 'teach' them anything. I used to do that when I first started posting to such boards, but soon found that all too often, creationist 'moderators' would delete or censor posts and creationists frequently simply blew off lengthy posts that took sometimes hours to write with a glib "That doesn't PROVE anything to me" . Easier to just show how silly and uninformed they are...

dear Nos,
Deseases are caused by degenerate parts of the genome (viruses) or degenerate microorganisms, or due to a degenerate immune system. Amazing what doctrines can do to the mind! best wishesPeter [This message has been edited by peter borger, 09-23-2002]

All most diseases really are is the effects of micro-organisms eating and reproducing in you out of control. As to doctrines and minds people who live in glass house....
