Was this just a mocking story invented by Jews or was this man "our" historical Jesus? What are pros and cons?

This subject was brought up before but I believe the thread kind of died, you might want to read what has been written and continue on that thread.

Percipient had asked this concerning Jesus and ben Pantera was brought up by me. Maybe we could revive this topic.
