Chick.com: Big Daddy?
Now, I don't know about you, but I love this guy. I think there are few things more enjoyable in life than sitting down to a Jack Chick comic. The insane jumps in logic... the out-of-context accusations... the way that everyone always believes exactly what they're told!
So this thread is just to give some quick props to Jack Chick, for countless hours of giggles and laughing.
Thank you, Jack Chick.

Then we DIDN'T evolve! The system has been feeding us THE BIG LIE!
That's classic stuff. I first read "Big Daddy" about ten years ago, and I was amused to see Robert Pennock summarize its plot in 'Tower of Babel.'
You're right, that's a Herculean leap: if the fossil record is mistaken, then JESUS IS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR!!

just noticed a couple of things.....
up on the blackboard...
"2. Chemical evolution - higher elements evolve...."
First off a purely pedantic point shouldn't that be nuclear evolution (if one has to call it evolution)....
Secondly the annoying fundie claims that "only the last one has been observed and is science. The first five are believed by faith."
So presumeably we can assume that the protagonist (and by extrapolation Jack himself) believes that the energy that the sun bathes us in has some other source than Hydrogen atoms fusing to produce helium and energy......
Ahhh Jack Chick Age cannot wither his work, nor custom stale
its infinite variety.....
Of course one might argue that time can't do that because it started out in an intellectually shrivelled fashion and there isn't a whole lot of variety from the central theme of "believe as I do or else your buggered for all eternity".......

Re: just noticed a couple of things.....
As a Christian, I first used to look at Jack Chick and his tracts with awe! What a cool way to spread the gospel! We never even questioned another man of God in any way, shape, or form. Later, as I matured and began to think for myself..(after praying, of course) I began to find fault with how Jack always dogged the Catholic church. I mean, I was Protestant and we knew that our Catholic brethren were a bit too religious and ceremonial, but to connect the Roman Church with the very center of occultic and world domination was a bit too much! These days, I no longer use tracts in any way, shape, or form. If I am mean't to talk with someone I do so. I prefer spreading the love and truth of God in a relational context by getting to know people rather than saturation bombing the area with a bunch of cartoons and hoping that someone will pick one up and after reading it drop to their knees and surrender to God!
Being shy didn't stop me
"My husband is a minister who does evangelistic work, but I am shy. I am active in my church but I wanted so much to witness to non-Christians...
I have been leaving Chick tracts everywhere! I leave them on shelves in the grocery store and drug stores, on phone booths, on newspaper boxes, in restaurants, in public restrooms, at the doctor's office. I made special trips to the local health department, WIC clinic, homeless health clinic...just to leave tracts. Even the food stamp office and Dept. of Human Services waiting rooms. The public library. Outside the high school in a bad neighborhood. I wrap them in plastic and toss them in driveways! I scan the local section of our paper for people convicted of DUI or other crimes and mail the tracts! If people did this in every town, so many could be reached. Oh yes, I send SOMEBODY LOVES ME to abortion clinics." "A brother was on his bicycle giving out (Chick tracts) and one of the men he gave one to got saved and is now a faithful church worker." PA
I left THE ASSIGNMENT on the lunch table at work this afternoon and tonight one of the guys read it and got saved. Praise God!" IL

I began to find fault with how Jack always dogged the Catholic church.
Yeah, just a bit.....
Like how one of his recent works has the Catholics being behind Freemasonry and Islam (!!) as part of their preparations to bring the Antichrist to power. The SOB is so bizarre that he's his own parody.

Personal favourite has to be the anti-dungeons and dragons tract. Someones character dies so they leap up screaming "You can't kill my character!", only to have her friends yell at her "You are dead, get out of my house!". Obviously this leads one to suicide, and one joins a witchs covent, but thankfully the christian saves her by convincing her to burn all of her books/games and models.
Haven't laughed so hard in a long time!

Speaking of that one, have you seen the parody of it with Wizards of the Coast and TSR? It's hilarious.

Theres the jack chick parody archives:
http://www.weirdcrap.com/chick/
or the D&D tract parody:
tract1
Bit of an annoying layout of the site, one pic per page and lots of pop-ups. Still pretty funny tho...

3rd Edition is the Word! All else is apostacy!
When I hear a guy say "Thaco", I shiv him with a "Chainmail" mini. It's a religious thing.

Chick.com: Big Daddy?
I got that from this thread.
I don't know about you, but I find chick tracks very entertaining. I can't really imagine any person in his right mind that would believe in the messages that are in the tracks. Christianity is about tolerance and love, not intolerance and hate.

I got the box set from a little store in town called "counter media." There are about 40 in the set. They're great!

Wow, I forgot that gluons have been disporven and that that means that Jesus is the source of the strong nuclear force.

Battle cry.
heh heh they claim that their battle cry is:
"Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?"
Gal. 4:16
A battle cry should be somethning like "Avengers Assemble!" or "For God the Sid and Spain!" or even "CHAAARGE" or "YAAHHHH" , not something as long as "Am I theirfore become your enemy, because I tell you the tr-URK" (The Urk part was them being stabbed in battle).
