My cockatiels loves to sit on my lap while I'm at my desk. Then they wander up and down my legs (I have my feet up on a foot rest under my desk). Often, I have a cockatiel on each foot. I'm glad they love to be with Mom, but they are a handfull.

Grey Parrot Intelligence
You do realize that African Grey Parrots are supposedly one of the more intelligent birds:

Enjoy.

We used to have a cat, named Patches (grey patches on white, moderate long hair), and one day she came home with sticky red liquid all over her fur, matted with dirt. It looked the color of transmission fluid, and knowing that it is sweet to the taste but toxic we immediated thoroughly washed a very unhappy cat before she could try to clean herself.
The next day walking the neighborhood, I noticed the next door neighbor was resetting a bird feeder ... for hummingbirds ... with the same color liquid inside. She confirmed that it had been knocked down, and we told her who the culpurt was, and the result.
Due to the bath experience, Patches was 'cured' of hummingbird feeder chasing.
Enjoy.

Re: Grey Parrot Intelligence
I'm quite familiar with Alex. That is one amazing bird! Thanks for the links. They've redone the site since I was there last time. I love the picture of Alex reading the stock market page. Tee hee hee.
Your poor kitty! But, a funny story!
Thanks,
X
