Re: Full Sail Wassail is the best on a cold winter night!
In regards to Deschutes and Full Sail I prefer their seasonal offerings to their regulars as the seasonals will almost always have more character. The Full Sail Rip Curl is an exception as it is so well balanced.
I may try a Jubel Ale. In the past I've found them them a bit sweet for my tastes.

I remember having a few Jubels last winter in Vancouver (WA) with my friends, and I believe the Full Sail Xmas stuff was on the menu as well. Good memories. I'll be back there later this month snowboarding and partaking (heavily) of the winter brew and spiced wine. I have missed the booze out here....

no. i mean the festivity. you go around singing at people and expect them to give you booze. very old british holiday tradition. i think it ought to be revived.

Re: Full Sail Wassail is the best on a cold winter night!
When I was growing up we'd all go around the neighborhood awassailing. I had not realized that the tradition had died off, but whe I think about it, I haven't heard of people caroling in a long time. Too bad. It was enjoyable.
