I didn't know that this was any kind of big deal. I sleep pretty fitfully (it's the age you know
). So I wake and drop off a lot. I'm used to waking paralyzed a few times a month. It doesn't last long but I'm away of being somewhere between "anchored down" and disconnected from my body.
I seem to have two basic kinds of dreams. Fuzzy one of impossible circumstances (scary or otherwise) and rather detailed mundane simple ones. Sometimes those are a continuation of whatever I was doing the night before and I have to think a bit to clear out which was a real memory and which dream. The ration is proably about 4 to 1 ( unreal to "real" ).
The most deeply affecting dream I ever had was one that was of the mundane, 'real' type though.
