I just recently read a blurp that Satan was the controller of weather on earth. Is this true and where is Scripture to back it up?
Hi Christa, this question has nothing to do with the topic on this thread. New topics like this should go through our Proposed New Topic forum. I am moving this to our Miscellaneous forum - The Queen

Unlikely
I strongly doubt this seeing as we can identify the natural causes behind the weather, but if satan is somehow doing things behind the scenes like God does then I guess we'll never know. I don't think there's anything in the Bible that would say so, either.

I just recently read a blurp that Satan was the controller of weather on earth. Is this true and where is Scripture to back it up? Nope. But God COULD give Satan permission to do something supernatural with the weather, otherwise no. Somewhere it says or implies that Satan's and his angel's domain is the sky or atmosphere and that he is ruler of the earth at present time. But I'm too lazy to look up the references. This does not say or imply that he is omnipotent or sovereign or anything of that sort. He simply goes out and decieves the nations to try to accomplish his goal which is to prove he is greater than God and that God sux.

The Tooth Fairy is actually the one that controls the weather. She grinds up all those widdle teefs and use them to seed clouds.

Satan Needs Permission???
hangdawg writes: Nope. But God COULD give Satan permission to do something supernatural with the weather, otherwise no. Since when does Satan need permission for ANYTHING? That's the whole point of his existence, if you believe that sort of thing. But then, you might be on to something hangdawg. Satan sends a twister roaring through a Midwest town. God gets to save certain people "It was a miracle. God be praised" while the rest get torn to smithereens. So everyone, mortal or otherwise gets something, good (God) or bad (Satan). Seems like a cozy system to me. (:raig

Nope. But God COULD give Satan permission to do something supernatural with the weather, otherwise no. Hi Hangdawg, Not to stray too far from topic, but I've always had a problem with this line of thinking: God is good. Satan is evil. Satan does only what God wants him to do, yet everything Satan does is evil. If God permits Satan to do something, isn't Satan's act an act of God, and therefore good? Perhaps there's another thread dealing with this issue around here somewhere...

Satan was the controller of weather on earth. If this were true, insurance policies would contain "Act of Satan" clauses rather than "Act of God" clauses.
