Re: The Water was supplied by reverse osmosis
It was provided to me on another site.
Feel free to calculate what you think the number should be. It is more than 40 by a significant margin, as that is only the period where it rained.
welcome to the fray, and enjoy.

Re: Noah's Ark Answers solved (just joking)
dung needs to be dry to burn, and I don't think the "cruise" may have had enough drying time for them to reach that stage.
the major problem I see is that the boat is adrift in it's own pool of cess. how many animals are carrying enteric diseases that affect other animals. escherichia coli is common, so much so that it is used as a marker for any pollution of waters (does not survive long outside the gut).

Sorry to be so late on this one ...
but hey if you have any evidence of such behovioral changes lets see them.
also evidence that carnivores once were herbivores while still the same species would be of interest.

Re: Noah's Ark Answers solved (just joking)
the rain stopped after the 40/40 bit and the ark floated around for quite a while afterwards.

I'm no genetics expert,
why stop there? you're also no biology expert suggesting that all fish could be tolerant (they aren't) or that animals are not very picky over water, or any kind of hydrology expert (pockets of fresh water) or naval architect (rain troughs, wooden pipes, etc that would sink the boat during the rain period)
maybe when you think about it you see no problems because of a limited view?

Re: Noah's Ark Answers solved (just joking)
the only problem is a total lack of any evidence of any kind for any of it.
but hey that is just another {god dun it} ... hiding the evidence from honest folk so that only those that keep god in a box (the bible) know ...

Re: Noah's Ark Answers solved (just joking)
this is not about the grand canyon it is about the ark and fresh water )and the fact of the grand canyon is that the water flow you talk about would have gone around it instead. you lack of geology is also showing).
there are forums about the grand canyon if you want to pursue this further.

Now there is a stupid request, No one here today was there but God and he wrote it down for us. But no one was there to see animals "evolve" over "millions" of years either, yet that is supposed to be proveable. It is not.
stupid? thanks. being called stupid by someone who cannot understand the problems involve is really refreshing.
the evidence of fossils supports evolution, the evidence of ring species supports evolution, no one needed to "be there" to see it happen to know how it works. versus a total lack of evidence for events that supposedly were observed?
Well aren't you chock full of stupid request today, I said this twice already. Many carnivores today will eat plants if the need comes about, do you deny that?
Carnivores have been observed eating plant material in little bits for some specific reasons, but not making a full diet of it for extended periods of time. ANd for the length of time that the ark was afloat? yes I do. ANd you still have not answered the problem of the fresh kept separate from the sewage.
Oh gee -- that is the topic?

Re: ...
hmmm... yes you were very understanding in your first post back to me.
and for the record, when it comes down to it? If I ever mock you it will be for your exibited stupidity, displayed lack of logic, evident irrational thought process and spectacularly total and complete lack of support for your position, not for your faith.
Enjoy.

Sure, I was just curious why Creationist are the only ones defending here. I know, what is the real reason you don't want to believe in the flood? Is it because your scared of the possibility of God's future judgement(revelation).
and you don't see that groundless assertion to be full of unsupported arrogance?
first off, no one here is attacking your faith. you with your faith are attacking science, and I and other rational people are defending it.
I don't "believe" in the flood because there is absolutely NO evidence for it other than as a minor flood that got caught up in the early mythology of all the cultures from that area of the world and 'deified' into a greater flood than ever occured in the 4.5 billion year history of the planet.
scared? hardly. amused by people that cannot see the reality is more like it. grown people are not scared by boogeymen and fairy tales eh?
