Unfortunately this still doesn't do ID any favours. It pretty much suggests that the Intelligent Designer (*cough* god *cough*) is a lazy programmer who wrote and compiled the universe, then buggered off and left it to run on its own.I actually quite like this scenario. there is some {valid} discussion of just how many US founding fathers were bonafide deists or just free thinkers with a lot of deist influence from those heady times. Washington is questionable (but no christian), Jefferson is borderline (and no christian), Paine is probably the best known bonafide deist, and Ethan Allen lesser so. There are others as well but they are lesser figures in americn history and had less to do with the founding aspect.
