If you really did do such extensive research, please enlighten us. At least supply us your bibliography?

I'm not all that familiar with the particulars of the Salem story. I have the impression that many good minds concluded that it was all concocted and the charges were false, so you are really asking me if I think it possible they were wrong and I have no way of having an opinion about that without studying the incident.
Some laws in the Old Testament pertain to their situation as a theocracy. Christianity is not a theocracy and can't be, but New England tried, and I suppose I might argue that if they had a law against witchcraft then prosecuting a TRUE witch by that law would of course be warranted.
Yes, I believe witchcraft is real, and it has been practiced in all human groups in connection with their religions. The pre-Christian tribes of Europe certainly practiced witchcraft. Historically, Christianity converts witches, it doesn't kill them. There are missionary reports of local shamans (witches) being converted today.

I brought it up as an appeal to common knowledge. Schraf confirmed that it is common knowledge. You are the one who said you'd studied it in great depth, not I, so you are the one in a position to supply the evidence.
Since it came up I'm now curious about it. I did a little googling on the subject but there's nothing scholarly out there that I could find in such a brief foray, though there are references to the fact that all cultures have versions of this, so it's not just an individual quirk or isolated to some parts of the world.
Interesting though that fairies and gnomes and UFOs are classified by some as intermediate between the angelic orders and humanity. There was a Reverend Kirk of Scotland who was obsessed with the fairies and wrote a book on the subject:
Parascope.com
This is all pretty off topic though. I was assuming any such phenomena are fallen angels, which I know exist, but this is all something else.
Anyway, I look forward to your bibliography which must be quite extensive to judge by the depth to which you claim to have studied these things.

Last time: 1) This isn't a science thread, and 2) You are the one who said you'd studied this phenomena IN GREAT DEPTH, so I'd really like to see your bibliography because it's come to interest me. Thank you.

Faith, most of the stuff you think is "common knowledge" is just made-up.
Funny, Schraf agreed with me that there's "tons of evidence" for experiences of these things. I guess you're the only one who doesn't know about them. Don't claim to have studied something in depth if you didn't.
So have the last word if you want. We've descended to bickering again.

Very weird story. An exorcism is not to punish the person, and I've never heard of such a thing being done to anyone. I think the priest must be possessed.
