Many other possible explanations are possible. Salty's lack of substantive response to numerous serious questions on his postulations is suggestive.

Salty gives his own unique spin on the now closed discussion
quote:
I just got through being thoroughly abused by a bunch of anonymous intellectual ideologues who are completely and perfectly intolerant to any perspective which threatens their totally indefensible position. Take my advise and preserve your mental and physical health. Most internet forums are nothing but pissing upa rope. Trust me. salty
at terry's place and

They finally are closing the "Case for Instant Evolution" thread over on evCforum. I got absolutely nowhere except to be abused. Sometimes I think I have masochistic tendencies. salty
also at terry's place
BTW, I remain bemused by this habit of closing threads on this forum. I have seen a number of cases where threads have been closed at the request of the initiator of the tread or, as in the case of the salty thread, by the source of the initial article of discussion. This seems to imply a proprietary interest by the initiator of the thread or some other person heavily involved in the thread. This seems ridiculous to me. If more than one person makes a substantial contribution to a thread then, if there is any valid concept of "ownership" of the thread, it would be communal ownership.
Why should one person have the power, with the agreement of management, to close a thread if they no longer wish to contribute to the discussion or if it is not proceeding in a direction which they like. Closure of a thread should occur when participants no longer post.

Re: over 200 posts?
I find Mr P's description of Salty's behaviour at message #18 to be both accurate and insightful.

Re: Sad what creationism can do to an evolutionists mind
Moose, one persona might be described in certain circumstances as "abrasive", the other appears to be dysfunctional.
