well firstly you need to find a moral code the work from , dropping the bible annd any other holy books, dont leave much, your then stuck with cultural morsal ..most of which a religion based .

Of course those of us who don't believe in divine revelation consider the moral codes in these holy books to be derived from cultural moral considerations, so the point is moot.

Isn't that a general tenet of liberalism closely allied to concepts like freedom of speech? It's why people who think that the 'historian' and holocaust denier David Irving is a reprehensible git can still think he shouldn't be locked up for lecturing neo-nazis with racist bollocks.

We might try and educate people but should we be trying to dictate what people can think?

Care to have a stab at making this coherent? I was talking about holocaust denial, what does that have to do with the colour of ones skin? Maybe you meant to reply to the other poster who was talking about burning people?

Lots of 'SEX ACT's have legal status, otherwise how could there be so many laws prohibiting specific 'SEX ACT's? I'm not sure what that has to do with gay marriage however.
