Purged Account
I have created a small space for those who would like to share, or those who would like to wish comfort. Please do not turn this into a public policy discussion.
I do not know if there is anyone here affected by these events, but please accept my deepest sympathies.

Virginia Tech
I went to Virginia Tech for summer school one year. The campus and areas surrounding Blacksburg were loverly, and one got the impression that it was a nice quiet town, where not much happened. I wish that were still true.

i grew up about an hour, hour and a half away from balckburg--Bristol, VA.
i don't know of anyone personally from my graduating class that went to VT, but I do know there were several who went. It tends to be VT, UT, ETSU or UVA-Wise that we go to (i'm probably the furthest from bristol from any of my classmates).
It really kind of hits me. as RAZD said, blacksburg is pretty quiet. And a college town like Boulder.
Who'd a thunk that southwest VA got in the news for something besides NASCAR? yeah . . .
ABE:
just read an article about some of the victims. of the 15 they talked about, none were from my high school.
