Were the 1970s a Morose Decade for Music?

I could use a little Pandora assistance. I've defined a bunch of stations, and one of them is songs of the 1960s. This station plays lots of fun songs, so I decided to try the same thing for the 1970s, but I'm getting lots of kind'a morose music, here's the URL: The groups I used to define the station are: Can anyone suggest a few groups to improve the mood a bit?--Percy

Yep, it's played a couple Neil Diamond songs, but the morose ones like Solitary Man and Longfellow Serenade, but that was a while ago. Things seem to be pickin' up lately!--Percy

What characterizes a musical decade for me is what was playing on AM radio - I was too poor to own a stereo or buy records. Edward Bear had a big hit in 1972 with Last Song. I still remember most of the words.I think of them as a one hit wonder, so I never heard of or at least don't remember You, Me and Mexico.--Percy

Yeah, the old categorization problem. I settle these staddle questions by asking myself what decade the group's songs that I like come from, but James Taylor, The Who, and the Rolling Stones are a problem for me.--Percy
