While I agree with you, it's not exactly the topic of this thread. We have the OP who seems genuinely interested in learning, let's not scare her away by reacting to name calling, ok? I mean, it's so rare to see someone like that who arrives, so let's try to give a good impression.
To Barbara, I'm glad you found a valuable thing in this site. I myself learned quite a lot there, especially about documentation and argumentation. Many on this site takes the time to research the claims, making it easier for laymen to check sources and argument and teaching us to do the same.
I know this very thread may not give a very good impression but the threads in other forums are actually much more satisfying in regards to our pursuits in knowledge. The thing (that you may have noticed) is that the "coffe house" and "free for all" are not very regulated because it's their purpose but moderators do a very good job in the other forums to keep the discussion focused and well sourced. So don't let the less than sophisticated discussion in this thread put you off from this site and look in the other threads for the informations and discussions that interest you.
