Or...the impact was from down to up, rather than up to down? They say iridium comes from space and from the deep interior of the earth...so did the flood waters!
There are abrasion type marks in rocks in the Yucatan 'crater' so I have no reason to doubt some sort of impact did happen. Since the flood waters came from space and deep below the earth, and that is also where iridium is said to come from...there is no need to attribute all the iridium to one big 'meteor'.

Actually, no possibility you are correct whatsoever as far as the bible goes. When the mountains get flattened it is sudden, and simultaneous to all the towers on earth falling! It also happens when all islands flee away and move out of their place (the continents rejoining swiftly?)..and Jesus returning to earth. Forget your 'erosion' nonsense.

Where does science say Iridium comes from? Well, here, for example
""Iridium is one of the densest and rarest of Earth's natural elements. It is so dense that it mainly exists in the Earth's core, rather than crust," said Amanda Simson, an assistant professor of chemical engineering at the University of New Haven." Facts About Iridium | Live Science "Iridium rarely occurs on Earth. But it occurs much more commonly in meteors and asteroids." http://www.chemistryexplained.com/elements/C-K/Iridium.html

People who claim things about the ancient past and pre flood times and then offer something from 50BC are defeated.

You're missing the point. If most of the layers were deposited by the flood, then the iridium should be distributed among all of the Flood layers. It isn't. They say iridium comes from space and from the deep interior of the earth...so did the flood waters! And our geese will blot out the sun.

Not all mountains pushed up in the continental moves were huge.

Should one want to argue God's secret real motives behind what the bible says on a science forum, one would be somewhat dazed I suppose.
However, what secret message do you derive from the towers all falling also at the same time?

Imaginary time, based solely upon assuming the current nature existed doesn't count.

On your second point about genetics here, that is easy.
The nature we live in has modern genetics. Notice no DNA exists from dinos or the time before the flood? In a different nature, genes operate as they do there, not here. You only see the genetics here. As always your claim rests on ONE belief alone. Ha. Edited by creation, : No reason given.

Using the word reality for your baseless beliefs is of zero import.

All the flood layers?? It was only one year! Most folks would even have trouble trying to imagine the KT layer put down in that time!

You don't seem to know much about creationism either. Most creationists claim that most of the geological record was laid down during the Flood. That's how they explain the fossils. All the flood layers?? It was only one year! Are you suggesting that only the KT layer was laid down by the Flood?

Not at all. For example, we can see how long it takes the ash from a volcano to circulate around the earth. It isn't hard at all to imagine the pulverized iridium from a meteorite behaving in a similar way. Most folks would even have trouble trying to imagine the KT layer put down in that time! And our geese will blot out the sun.

"Iridium is one of the densest and rarest of Earth's natural elements. It is so dense that it mainly exists in the Earth's core, rather than crust" At the Earth's core, not in the crust. So the iridium in the KT Boundary Layer did not come from the Earth.
"Iridium rarely occurs on Earth. But it occurs much more commonly in meteors and asteroids." The evidence says the iridium in the KT Boundary Layer came from an extraterrestrial object impacting the Earth 65 million years ago. Neither of these sources for iridium has even a remote connection to a fictional story in the bible, so you bringing it up is just a distraction that shows you have no clue what you are talking about. Noah's flood is a myth, pure fiction, that says not one word about the Earth's core or asteroid impacts. What if Eleanor Roosevelt had wings? -- Monty Python One important characteristic of a theory is that is has survived repeated attempts to falsify it. Contrary to your understanding, all available evidence confirms it. --Subbie If evolution is shown to be false, it will be at the hands of things that are true, not made up. --percy The reason that we have the scientific method is because common sense isn't reliable. -- Taq
