Well, the budget's very tight, but I just broke down and put $20 on the plastic, in support for public radio. I also broke down and decided that it's time once again (now that the weather's better?) to do the 220 mile round trip, to do another radio show (the first since late December).
I have two program timeslots - 7:30pm Friday (the 18th) night to 1:00am Saturday (the 19th) morning ( time). The webcast is available via the stations homepage at WOJB - Home Maybe I'll get some sort of playlist online, between now and then. One thing I now have available, is the Clash doing "Police and Thieves". I wanted to play it last December (the week of Joe Strummers passing) but didn't have a copy available. I got a phone call from Joz, last December's show. If anyone wishes to call during the program, this time around, the number is 715-634-2100. Moose This message is planned to exist a bit past the time of the program, and then be deleted (as per the intent of the "Short Term" forum). Edited by Minnemooseus, : Take specific date info out of topic title.

Well it seems to have been a fairly chaotic program. I'll have to compile the music to some cd's, to listen back to find if that was a good chaotic or a bad chaotic.
So, did anyone here listen in? Any comments? Moose (As this is a "Short Term" topic, it will be deleted not too far down the line.)

OK, I didn't delete this "Short Term" topic yet.
Anyhow, this coming Saturday, November 29th, the annual (and much bent) WOJB Christmas tune show happens once again. It will be 2:00-6:00 pm, time (as in eastern time zone). This program is NOT a Moose production. This program will contain a LOT of wacky music that you probably haven't heard before, and may not hear again. One tune I recall from last years show: "All You Need is Elves", sung to the melody of that Beetle tune. Strongly recommended, and quite possibly worth recording, even in low fidelity web cast sound. BUMP - Pay no attention to the topic title - Look at the message subject.

Yes, I never deleted this topic, and now it's become useful again.
Once again I'm doing the 220 mile round trip, to do another radio show (the first since last April). Again, I have two program timeslots - 7:30pm Friday (the 18th) night to 1:00am Saturday (the 19th) morning ( time). The webcast is available via the stations homepage at WOJB - Home Moose

Hey Moose, play some Ramones for me. "I Want To Be Sedated" is always a crowd pleaser. Not that I will be listening, but some Boss would be great too.

Bump, for what little it may be worth.
Don't have any real specific plans for the show. Expect it to be more mainstream than many of my (twisted?) efforts. Am bringing the "Box of Punk" that I talked to Asgara about - Don't have any specific tunes in the plan, but I'll have it available. See my previous message for the web link for the webcast. WFMU-FM 91.1/Jersey City, NJ; 90.1/Hudson Valley, NY – We're an independent freeform station broadcasting at 91.1 fm in New York, at 90.1 fm in the Hudson Valley, and with gobs and gobs of online offerings.
My favorite webcast program - The "Belly of the Beast" program, starting at 2:00 am (forum time) Friday morning - in about 1 1/4 hours as I type this. Looks for links in the "What's Playing Today" box. Stephan, the host, also posts an updated live playlist. The link should also be in the "What's Playing Today" box. His description of the program: "Abrasive and slightly less abrasive music, with a peppering of propaganda.". For you leftists, he presents his "propaganda hour" at 4:00 am. Warning: Stephan is very subject to playing large chunks of Metal - Although his variety of Metal is still alternative. The "Belly of the Beast" playlist and audio archive index is at

. At individual playlists, look on the far right (may have to scroll) to jump to specific audio points in the program. In the Dec. 3 playlist, the Ikue Mori selections were by request from me. The request was for anything from Ikue Mori. Right now I have a vague general request in, for more from the Wergo label. Program starts at midnight (U.S. central time) the end of Saturday / beginning of Sunday (as in, the beginning of May 27, 2007). The plan of the moment is that I'll be doing this time slot every week this summer.
For time zone conversions, it is 7:00 pm (U.S. central time) at the time of posting this messages. Program starts 29 hours from now. On the air / web right now. Calling the program "Feed Your Head".
See link to web feed in previous message. I'm doing, at least for now, a repeat of the http://www.lakenet.com/~mnmoose/kumd9-01.htm show. Moose

I just checked the links I supplied and I'm getting "not found" messages. I called and griped to the engineer. Hopefully it will work next week. Unfortunately, the great program was this week.

Well, it looks like I got that time slot for the foreseeable future.
