Aww, shucks.That definitely has affected some of the units here, but they're all Army. The Air Force tends to avoid those surprise two-month extensions that the Army is so fond of, and our tours are much shorter to start with (nominally 120 vs 365 days).My being out 5+ months is actually around the 90th percentile for deployment length in the AF, but I will be leaving exactly when I expected all along: just in time to tidy up the house, kick back for a couple of weeks, and have family stop by on Christmas day.Life really is pretty good....
