That avatar brings back memories. The old BBC test card which went up after broadcast ended at about 11pm or so. The good old days - before 24/7 tv

Oh yeah, I forgot that. tv from noon to 11pm and that was it. There was so many other things to be doing then I suppose. I blew my tv 3 years ago trying to hook it up to the stereo. And never bothered to get a replacement. Best thing that ever happened to me bar (well you know all that...)

Radio Telefis Eireann
What? no TV? just think of all the xian cable channels you're missing out on.. not to mention the angelus!
From what I have seen of them I don't think I'm missing all that much.
Like, if I was wasting my time in front of the tv I wouldn't have the time to evangelize here (wait for it!)

Re: Radio Telefis Eireann
anyway.. didn't you once say God decides...?
I did. And I would have also said man rejects. If a man is saved it is because God choose him. If he is lost it is because he rejected the gospel.
Good notion crevo. The topic is about nothing so it can be about anything!
Preaching to the convertible. For all men are convertible. He is the one who does the converting however

Re: Radio Telefis Eireann
so why then do you preach? leave it to god. He has the know-how and the ability surely?
Because God has always dealt with man through men (and women). That which saves a man is the gospel. God just uses man to deliver the mechanism of salvation to man. A message needs a messenger
I 'preach' the gospel and talk about God and who he is and what it is like to know him. He takes the words/ideas that 'preachers' put up and applies them to a persons heart.
I have evidence that convinces me above and beyond the fact that he says this is how he does it (not that I would need any more evidence than his saying so - but he is very gracious, our God).
You see, that's precisely how he did it with me. So I know it works
