Re: No Substance
just as a question, does your belief include, polythiestic religions? or only monothiestic? if they mean poly who is gods avatar then? if you mean all religions does that mean no longer practiced ones? like norse, celtic, greek? what about wicca and neo-pagun? if so which form is god then? male or female?

Re: No Substance
i see, could you answer the questions? i would like to know what you believe, but not more preaching, and anything dealing with god or gods is a religion by definition

Re: Evolution of Religious Thought
I'm not really understanding what this means, are you speaking of paganism? if you are the statues and idols are a link to the god, a representation of the god/s not the god themselves if you are not then what is this about, could you answer it in less text please

Re: Evolution of Religious Thought
God comes in every humangeneration to preach true divine knowledge to uplift the souls. Status cannot preach you. Only Lord in human form can preach the true divine knowledge and clear all you doubts. which doesn't answer my question its still more obscure preaching if you know anything about pagans and pagan religions, they do not worship the statue itself but the god it represents

Re: Evolution of Religious Thought
even though this is all purely off topic to the thread i want to point this out - So the concept of God is near to his previous concept and thus the atheist (Scientist) accepts the formless (Nirakara) God very easily.
there are religious scientists out there, declaring all scientists athiests is wrong, and if the person is athiest they wouldn't believe in any form of god/s other wise what in the world does this have to do with anything?

Re: Evolution of Religious Thought
When a scientific atheist denies the existence of God, he is denying his own premise of validation of a phenomenon by direct perception this is pure nonsense, where is the evidence of god being a phenomenon?, where are the tests of god? If there is no evidence of god then the conclusion till there is some is god doesn't exist. miracles fall under this as well but what does this have to do with anything, your posts seem to be really confusing.

Re: Evolution of Religious Thought
so, this is a bunch of vapid gobby-gook then? it sounds like you are making the recycled point that you have to believe in god to.. believe in god? its the typical answer given to all skeptics by believers and will never be considered a real answer since it answers nothing what does this have to do with world religions really?

Re: Evolution of Religious Thought: Sikhism
lol i've gave this thread a shot a number of times since it sounds interesting, but if all we get is blocks and blocks of text theres no real discourse darn it hit post too early i think if dattaswami is willing to answer my last few questions, without the mysticism cut-and-paste i would continue, but not if the answers are in blocks of lots of text This message has been edited by ReverendDG, 04-01-2006 03:04 AM{abe:bad posting night } This message has been edited by ReverendDG, 04-01-2006 03:05 AM
