Give me a few days to brush up, I haven't played a game in at least 7 or 8 years. I am probably much worse than I remember...
My user name is fearandloathing72
AbE... Thanks, it might be nice to play again, none of my friends play and I haven't thought about playing online until now.

Re: In
hard to tell who to challenge with the equivocal commitments above.
Let me clear up what I think of my own abilities are...rank amateur at best Most the people I have played have been friends I have taught, well shown how the pieces can be moved. None of them liked it enough to play but a few times, even though one or two had good games.
The only way to get better is to be beaten, I find this as fun as winning, being able to look back and see where you THINK you went wrong is half the fun.

Re: Chess Challenge
I accept. Be warned you will not find it much of a challenge to beat me.
Sorry I didn't respond sooner, slipped my mind, I was in the process of posting pointless drivel when you originally challenged me.
I haven't used chess.com before so I am not sure how it works, bear with me. I am going to practice a game or 3 shortly and then we can get to it.
AbE... Seems pretty straight forward place to play, I will be starting our game soon.
Thanks for the reminder.

Re: In
I just started the game, sorry I was slow, been crazy here the last few days. Your going to win anyway because...
quote:
The first-move advantage in chess is the inherent advantage of the player (called White) who makes the first move in chess. Chess players and theorists generally agree that White begins the game with some advantage. Statistics compiled since 1851 support this view, showing that White consistently wins slightly more often than Black, usually scoring between 52 and 56 percent.
Just kidding.
Good luck

Re: Over here!
Phat is toying with me... I feel like a mouse who is being stalked by the cat...the cat knows it can take the mouse out, but wants to have some fun first.
