"Trigger warnings" have a far different meaning to the current snowflake generation than they did a few generations back to the 18-year-olds who were storming the beaches of France. A little humor
I'm quite sure there has never been a time in the history of the Church when so many different branches are sounding so certain that the last days are upon us. It's always been like that... every generation claims that it's going to hell in a handbasket, etc, etc.
Right, and Armageddon tired of it! Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge. Belief gets in the way of learning--Robert A. From Alinsky's Rules for Radicals: #13 Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge. Re: Stereotypical PC Pathetic Liberal Behavior
What do we call it when conservatives focus in on the word bigotry and ignore the fact that liberals are doing more than just labelling speech, they are actually making points about why such speech is unacceptable? On a lot of issues progs have given up arguing the issues and used a weaponized version of PC to shut down the opposition and all discussion of those issues. If you don't see this, I guess fish don't see the water in which they swim. For others it is glaringly obvious. Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge. Belief gets in the way of learning--Robert A. Re: Stereotypical PC Pathetic Liberal Behavior
Here is your chance to point to something specific. See what is happening on college campuses. Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge. Belief gets in the way of learning--Robert A. Heinlein In the name of diversity, college student demands to be kept in ignorance of the culture that made diversity a value--StultisTheFool It's not what we don't know that hurts, it's what we know that ain't so--Will Rogers If I am entitled to something, someone else is obliged to pay--Jerry Pournelle If a religion's teachings are true, then it should have nothing to fear from science...--dwise1 "Multiculturalism" demands that the US be tolerant of everything except its own past, culture, traditions, and identity.
