Has anyone considered that the universe goes through expansion and contraction phases? I have no idea how long these trends would be, but right now it is of course expanding. To take that direction and extend it back to a big bang point of singularity, is like looking at the global warming hype and extending that to say the earth will eventually erupt into a fireball.
Well we are now heading into a cooling trend.

First, explain why you believe the universe might begin contracting at some point.
I really don't have any reason other than comparing it with seemingly unrelated cycles. I was just asking the question, but can do some independent searching first.
