A question the faithful pretty frequently ask of skeptics is "why would the writers of the gospels make stuff up?"
It occurs to me that you just answered this question by example. Look at what you've done. You've made up something, based on nothing, solely to support your beliefs. I'm sure you don't consider it fabrication, but it is. I am sure you don't consider it lying either, and I suppose that would be harsh; but the story is certainly pure fantasy. Thank you for so concisely illustrating how events that never happened made it into the good book. ------------------

Wise,
I have given you *five* different accounts of the Trojan War by *five* different authors of ancient texts. The events of the Trojan War were witnessed by THOUSANDS of Greek soldiers. If ponying up is what you want, you got your wish long before you asked for it. The end.

Wise May i ask the point of the image of the hourglass nebula that you present in your post. I assume it is to try and rebut Theomorphics' point on the existence of God. Why would the picture of a dying star ejecting material into space be an example? I will agree it is beautiful in its own right ang the color is wild but that is not a valid arguement to existence of God.

That looks more like an anus!...this is absolute proof that the master of the universe is a four assed monkey!...here is more "proof"...Wise, behold your maker and tremble before his four fold flatulance!..or at least cover your nose.

This is standard procedure, as long topics (300+ messages) have a tendency to have technical glitches happen. I suggest that Wise try to bring up the quality level of his postings. Right now, this topic is giving powerful testimony towards the elimination of the "Free For All" forum. We have better uses for the server storage space, above and beyond the storage of drivel. Adminnemooseus PLEASE...OH PLEASE... Don't stop this thread! I didn't mean to be so logical...REALLY, I didn't ! I can't help it. Logic is part of my nature Wise BUT, I can understand the 300 thread rule.

It is very puzzling to Scientists. It has correctly been dubbed the "eye of God", and you ask WHY it is an example? Perhaps...because,,,it is JUST THAT ! WE KNOW that Gods eye watches over us. WE KNOW that it validates Scripture. WELL, look CLOSELY at the facial structure AROUND the eye. Does THAT ring a bell? Wise

From the forum rules, #5: "Bare links with no supporting discussion should be avoided." That, and the page wouldn't load. No dice. Shall I make some dramatic pronunciations formed of catch phrases in all capitals now? Maybe not... half the posts in this thread (read: your posts) are overloaded with them already. I can NOT help it that the link broke. Mr. Moose said that technical difficulties wil occur after SO MANY threads. Wow... I've been laughing for three or four minutes straight. I gonna pass out. Astronomers don't seem to be all that perplexed, by the way. APOD: September 14, 1997 - MyCn18: An Hourglass Nebula
I don't know where you get your information. RIGHT HERE! APOD: February 9, 1996 - The Eye of an Hourglass Nebula Wise

Wise,
WE KNOW that Gods eye watches over us. But it has cataracts! Look at it. Therefore it doesn't look over us. Mark

are you suggesting that God made the dinosaurs, then killed them with a flood, then buried them and had pressure and heat turn them into fossil fuels just so that we could later use them to power our cars? ignoring the probability that 10,000 years isn't enough time for fossil fuels to form, why would god provide us with such a detrimental power source to the environment? maybe in future years we'll discover a way to use the dissipated heat and CO2 as a power source. Why not just bury under the earth a model of a super efficient and compact solar cell that we could find and later reproduce? I am suggesting JUST THAT ! Actually it has been PROVEN that fossil fuels can be made in EVENLESS time than 10,000 years under great heat and compaction. So, to the evolutionists, where EXACTLY are the Dinos? HHHHHMMMMMMMMMMM? I KNOW IT ALL began with Noahs flood. Now, please explain to me HOW oil got so deep within the earth when oil floats?Migration through porous stone or sea sediments is one example but it would have taken MILLIONS of years. Is it possible? This has been a perplexing question to geologists for quite some time now as the poil reserves are very massive. Most geologists WORTH THEIR SALT contribute the oil reserves to a MASSIVE BURIAL. But how, you ask? The FLOOD. A MASSIVE CATOSTROPHIC EVENT ! Wise Oh, and btw, there is a substance in oil that is directly related to hemoglobinThat's good ! that's REAL good quote

Lol...
Wise, bud, try thinking. What the page states is that the mechanics of the nebula are not completely understood-- not all that surprising really. There is a lot we don't know about a lot of things. What you claimed was that the nebula is impossible. Big difference, and hardly reason to conclude that this exploding star is God's eyeball. ------------------

PLEASE NOTE the bridge of the nose to the RIGHT of the screen in this close up. Notice the cheekbone andd surrounding facial structure.
Is it ANY WONDER WHY it is so puzzling to Scientists? Wise

And BTW, the size of the earth is realized by the small white dot in the front of the eye.
CAN YOU IMAGINE THE MASSIVE SIZE OF GOD !!?? And all of you evolutionist/atheists THINK he cannot see you? Wise

Sit outside and look at clouds for awhile. I've seen teddy bears, dragons, faces, and butt-cheeks. Are these real too? Look at a full moon. See the face? I don't. I did until a girlfriend told me she saw a rabbit riding a motorcycle. Can't get that out of my head now. Your brain is making things up. That is what brains do, really. Brains make things up to compensate for very limited data.
