To Christians, Christ is God. The Bible is thought to be inspired by Him.

Not quite.
Christ and His ideas are thought of generally as good. The Antichrist as the name implies is supposed to be full of evil ideas. Your right though about many Bibles having the same dualism. I think I mentioned that somewhere. RegardsDL

Would you stone your unruly son?
Would you help stone an unruly brother or sister? Would you expect other father to? Just a question. RegardsDL

Can I take it from your reply that you have no problem believing in talking snakes and have no problem with the quote I used?
It is from God and not from an evil writer? I did not use the word fundamentalist. RegardsDL

"you choose the words you follow. but people do that anyways while thinking it's a message from god, so it doesn't really change anything."
The believed messages from God have a great impact. Your remark i took as saying that these beliefs had no impact and did not as you said change anything. If I misread, please ignore my comment. regardsDL

Were you agreeing that the quot i used was more from an Antichrist? The term "Antichrist" has been so abused by the end-times nuts that it's practically meaningless. A lot of the Old Testament is counter to what Jesus taught. We have to use our own minds to figure out which parts make sense and which don't. I don't think there's anything to be gained by pretending that the really idiotic parts of the Bible were purposely idiotic to teach us a lesson. “If you had half a brain, wouldn't you have realized after the second time, that it was you, not God?” -- riVeRraT (see context here) “The endearing controvertist! One needs to become acute in the ploys of his kind.” -- ThreeDogs

Hi GIA,
Greatest I Am writes: Just a question. Would you stone your unruly son?Would you help stone an unruly brother or sister? Would you expect other father to? If I was one of the people that this rule was given too along with the other 600+ rules, that had walked across a dry sea bed, watched a pursuing army drown, had drank water from a rock that followed me around day and night. Had been able to go out every morning and get food off the ground and what I did not use spoiled and was no good the next day but I could get a double portion on Friday and it would not spoil. When I got tired of this food and asked for meat it was provided. During the day I had a cloud over me to give me air conditioning and then on the cold nights I had a pillar of fire to keep me warm. My clothes and shoes did not wear out. Now the rule if the children would not obey and could not be corrected they were to be stoned to death. I say yes I would throw the first stone. I can see where there would not be many stoning after a little while because the children and everybody else would learn to obey. The survival of the fittest would prevail don't you think. I still say if those rules all of them were enforced today our jails would be empty. Our graveyards would be overflowing, and be more like the county dump. But there are a lot of things that go on today that would not under those laws. Have fun, "John 5:39 (KJS) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."

what i meant is that thinking the bible comes from god and thinking the bible comes from men who knew god doesn't make any practical difference when people pick and choose now. picking and choosing when it doesn't come directly from god doesn't make any difference. it's not the belief that doesn't make an impact, it's the process of the origination of the text that doesn't make an impact.
believing that the bible is not the direct and flawless word of god does not require a lack of belief in god.

Now that I've established that your quote was not antichrist, I'll address the quote which you see as problematic.
The nation of Israel to whom the commandments were given exclusively was to eventually be a messianic kingdom of God on earth. Thus rigourous rules were imposed upon them by God for their own good and longevity so as to survive as a nation down through the centuries. This meant that rebellion within the families must be forbidden. It worked. The death penalty kept the families strong and morality for the most part remained intact. Rebellion was rare and though there were times of rebellion including national rebellion etc the rigorous rules did help keep the nation alive as a messianic nation. Thus the Jewish people though scattered worldwide kept their identity so as to return for the 2nd advent of the messiah Jesus to rule. Edited by Buzsaw, : No reason given. BUZSAW B 4 U 2 C Y BUZ SAW. The immeasurable present eternally extends the infinite past and infinitely consumes the eternal future.

Hi GIA,
Greatest I Am writes: Can I take it from your reply that you have no problem believing in talking snakes I don't know about Buzz but I have no problem believing in talking snakes I have been dealing with them all my life. Or was you talking about the ones that crawl on the ground? I don't believe this one can talk. Now if you are talking about the one that was walking around in the garden. Shucks if he could walk why couldn't he talk. Especially if the devil wanted to use him to say something which he did. He used Judas, He is the antichrist you are talking about. He will be the antichrist in the end time the devil in a flesh body so as to copy Jesus. Have fun now. Edited by ICANT, : clarify a point "John 5:39 (KJS) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."
