Re: DIY god
ICANT,
You completely failed to address the OP...
Without religious texts (& indeed, with) we would need to know something of god/s, & how they would create the universe in order to predict phenomena that would lead us to potential evidence that creation occurred.
Since we don't, we can't.
Now this nation is the laughing stock of the world.
No, that's because you have a christian prick as president.

Re: What If
Buzsaw,
That all cultures in history have been religious may be the answer to your questions.
Why doesn't different cultures coming to different supernatural conclusions simply speak for humanity's desire to come to a conclusion?
It is in no way necessarily true that a creator would create his creations this way. Given that this is the case, it can't be evidence. That is, we can't make a prediction about what the creator would have done because we simply don't know how they would have done it.

Re: DIY god
CTD,
These things are habitually dismissed by those who desire another conclusion.
People like me are in the habit of habitually dismissing subjective opinion. The miracle is that you had that many tyres blow out on you, they should have stopped doing that decades ago because of design improvements. But anyway, how many tyre blowouts occur before a fatality occurs to the driver? You haven't a scooby. As far as you are concerned it could be anything, meaning you have no idea if 6 is miraculous or merely humdrum.

Re: Why bother
CTD,
You don't know what I do or don't know, so why do you even bother posting this trash? Are you limited to spamming insults, or something?
Insults? I fail to see where I insulted you. You posted evidentially vacuous subjective opinion & claimed the rest of us can't see the evidence. This is your problem, not mine for pointing it out.
I directly responded to your point:
These things are habitually dismissed by those who desire another conclusion.
My point is that your "evidence" is entirely subjective, you have no idea whatsoever what the non-miracle state is compared to the miracle state. As such, you are utterly unable to claim anything as evidence of the miraculous.
You don't know what I do or don't know
Very well, please supply the statistics of tyre blowouts that should result in death/injury if miracles don't occur, & do the same if miracles do indeed happen. Failure to do this renders you completely unable to test the hypothesis that a miracle has occurred. It also means your claim that the rest of us are dismissing evidence is false, there is no evidence to be dismissed.

Re: Why bother
CTD,
Would it hurt you to be accurate? I doubt it. Might hurt your ability to feel like you've made an impact.
Oh, please!
I never said that. I said those who don't open their eyes and minds won't see it.
No, you said:
These things are habitually dismissed by those who desire another conclusion.
Would it hurt to be accurate?
It's not very subjective - that's just your cop-out. It doesn't take a lot of brainpower to assess this. When driving, simply keep track of how much of the time it is safe to have a blowout, and how much the time it isn't. If you want precision, ride along with someone else, take notes, and use a stopwatch. Also, one shouldn't count any time when the vehicle is traveling under 35 M.P.H. because there's not enough stress on the tire for it to blow if it's properly inflated.
What would this show? Does it test how often it should happen with miracles & without? If not it's still a subjective opinion.

Re: Why bother
CTD,
Indeed! I said both things in the same paragraph in msg #48. Now you pretend I said one and not the other.
Bullshit. I didn't quote that, I quoted what I was responding to in the very first instance. Why say you said something that I didn't quote you on?
This concludes my responses to your posts for now. I'm tired of this.
I'm sure you are. You have failed to provide an objective test in order to determine whether miracles pertain to tyre blowouts or not. At least your evasion is honest.

Re: Who couldn't see it coming?
CTD,
We seem to have established that there is ample evidence available in the world for even the underprivileged souls who lack access to the scripture to discover that a Creator exists.
No, not at all. In fact, when pushed to provide data that would allow us to predict the miraculousness of your claims, namely tyre blowout phenomenon you failed to supply, claiming you were "tired".
The favorite trick is to assume from the start that there is no Creator. False assumptions serve to guarantee false results.
I'm not doing this, I'm asking you to provide what is required in order to predict & test your own claim. Why is this such a difficult concept to get over to you?
If you are unable to predict the frequency of miraculous phemenon in this case objectively, then it is subjective opinion.

Re: Who couldn't see it?
CTD,
I already did provide the method.
No, you didn't supply a method of determining what is necessary.
Oh! I left out the last little, self-evident step. Obtain a ratio by dividing unsafe time by safe time.
& that tells us what, exactly?
How do I tell by following your "method" what ratio of blowouts is un-miraculous, & what is miraculous?
