There is a difference between bisexuality and bicuriousity.
I think you hit the nail on the head. It seems that only true bisexuals can realize this. Most, from what I have seen, are bisexual leaning toward either homo or hetero. Those of us who are truly bi don't have that leaning. As for bicurious people some retain this in adulthood, these people are predominately homo or hetero with the occasional craving for the opposite. As for arrousal, I feel that is a poor way to determine sexuality. A person can be arroused by pictures of one sex but not have any sexual attraction to that sex or to both.
