Message 53 The human mind is not an accurate tool
Rahvin has, to me, settled this seemingly endless merry go round. It is extremely high quality writing aside from the clearness of it's thought. Edited by Adminnemooseus, : Add the "(at the "Immaterial "Evidence"" topic)" part to the topic title.

It is extremely high quality writing aside from the clearness of it's thought. Seconded. Rahvin does his usual trick of writing what I wish I had the insight and ability to write myself.
Rahvin has, to me, settled this seemingly endless merry go round. Hah! We'll see. It should be settled. But as one of those whose angular momentum is reaching near relatavistic proportions I have my doubts. Edited by Straggler, : No reason given.

He hadn't posted since last December, and now we have new messages. Personally, I find most everything he posts to be special. So I'm flagging all of his today messages, especially for those who haven't encountered him before.
Heaven: How to Get In - Message 29. Christ making statements about Creation - Messages 37, 38, 41, and 51. Abraham's Covenant, Moses' Teaching, Joshua's Anointing & the appeal to authority - Message 7. Moose

Hope things are well with everyone.
Legend writes an excellent piece here in Msg 430. The link you provided leads to a short post of your own brutha hyro; Message 431. I would guess that you were aiming to link to this post of brutha Legend's; Message 430. As an aside, I 'd like to second the batch of post's written by brutha truthlover that brutha minne suggested in Message 5. Good stuff. One Love I'm not here to mock or condemn what you believe, tho my intentions are no less than to tickle your thinker. If those in first century CE had known what these words mean ... Author: RAZDForum: Coffee House Thread: Two wrongs don't make a right (the (ir)rationality of revenge) - also gun control Message #: 403 (Re: another reality check?) Brutha RAZD, in his usual succint, salient and well formatted delivery style - which I contend all should strive towards and, even, dare envy, effectively raises some interesting questions regarding the ongoing Israeli—Palestinian conflict and eventually goes on to mention one of the all time greats, the 'Great Soul'. Below are a few of my favorite samples from this dynamic post ...
quote: [some emphasis mine] I'd also suggest that ... While effectively displaying how passive resistance seems to force people into recognizing the liberties and/or rights of others, brutha RAZD also made quite a leap at showing that armed deterrence is not necessary in order to ensure that the liberties and/or rights of a nation are not eradicated by others. Kudo. Not so curiously, his direct opponent - though they be, perhaps, everyone advocating gun violence in any capacity, forewent a direct response to the post. One Love Edited by Bailey, : sp. I'll second that one. RAZD simultaneously refuted the idea that guns deter anything (granted, that has been done several times in that thread), and also posted a brilliant summary of the Israel/Palestine issue with, you know, actual facts instead of the mindless nonsense that usually gets thrown around on the subject.

Forum: Social Issues and Creation/Evolution Thread: Are Fundamentalists Inherently Immoral Message #: 140 His response to Holyfire23's question of who is more moral was every clear and succinct. I couldn't have said it better and deferred to his post as a response. It's one of those posts one wants to keep in a scrapbook of great answers to pull inspiration when one's own words fail to materialize. Well done! (We need an applause smilie) Edited by Adminnemooseus, : Fixed 2nd link to go directly to message 140. Previous version of link seemed to be to a topic page.

I notice that every time I get a POTM nomination, people say "that's what I wanted to say!" Obviously, I must have subconscious globe-spanning telepathic powers.

Well if anything will convince me of the existence of an immaterial sixth sense it will (ironically) be you ongoing ability to to write what I think I should have written. Your multiple nominations this month and last are well deserved.

Hi Hyro,
I don't usually post here as it tends to be the same people who self-indulge in back-patting each other regardless of post content but thanks all the same. "We must respect the law, not let it blind us away from the basic principles of fairness, justice and freedom"

Hi Bailey\weary, and thanks for your wish, and your nomination. Thanks to Rahvin too.
I'd like to mention Modulus' post Message 417, where Mod uses his usual careful style to evaluate the ramification of the various effects of gun ownership, in particular:
... It seems to me, from a general look at things, that the only crimes you would deter are the ones which are the least harmful and the ones that remain become more likely to result in a death or serious injury. ... A logically derived conclusion, which, ironically, matches the evidence of crime in the US versus the UK. Enjoy.
