I have to go to sleep - but if no-one else does - I rip this to pieces in the morning. so full of assumptions and errors about evolution, it's hard to know where to start.
How can you get to over 2200 posts and not learn anything?

Buz, even ants keep, manipulate, and farm other insects. GONG! LOL. They use a scanty few other little fellas. When they build computers, train elephants and fly planes, get back to me. OK Froggy?

OK Froggy? What, Buz? I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you over the deafening clang of you running off with your goalposts. You're going to tear up the field dragging them around like that...

How can you get to over 2200 posts and not learn anything? I've read enough of your stuff to know that whatever you have to say, it will be sadly devoid of substance, Charlie. I can't wait until you wake up and tell the www about all you seem to know AGAIN. This message has been edited by buzsaw, 10-11-2004 08:50 PM

I'm having a hard time figuring out what that has to do with the topic. Can you relate what you posted to the question posed in the OP, specifically:
To those that follow Nietzsche's principles can one explain the feeling of no longer existing? I admit that the points you raise would make an interesting discussion. Aslan is not a Tame Lion

I can't see any connection whatsoever with abiogenisis. Several billions of generations of my human, hominid, primate,.....tetrapod,....chordate, and on to prokaryote ancestors have died and been recycled into nutrients for other critters - maybe some for others of my ancestors. How and why should it be any different for me? The voltages in my neurons will most assuredly go to zero at some point within the next few decades, and then I won't exist anymore! And BFD! That's how it's supposed to work, and that's how it works!
And Buz, one of Grimm's fairy tales, The Frog King I think it was, starts out, "Long ago, when wishing still helped...."

I'm having a hard time figuring out what that has to do with the topic. Can you relate what you posted to the question posed in the OP, specifically: My implicated point in saying what I did about humans having an eternal spirit was that we humans seem to have a built in sense of existence after life. I believe it is this sense within our being, imo that causes most religions of the world to have some kind of afterlife in their doctrines. My apologies for not making this clear in my original post. What I likely should have followed up, in answer to the op is that the idea of non-existence would be very remote within the thinking of most. Thus, relatively few bonafide athiests in the world and lots of agnostics among secularists.

Interesting thoughts Buz, but I still don't see what that has to do with the OP?
How would not existing after death be any different than the experience before birth, as others have asked? Aslan is not a Tame Lion

Can you explain to me why dolphins would need a computer? If they had the intelligence to communicate with other dolphins on the www, likely they'd think it cool to do so to find the best feeding seas, nicest waters, etc, not to mention the desire to just talk to their relatives about their ancestors, etc...........and wouldn't they have a ball if they could capture and train humans or manufacture and use jetskiis? I'm saying the above to say your question is rather silly and irrevelant, melady.

How would not existing after death be any different than the experience before birth, as others have asked? I see nothing in the op about experience before birth, so I'll let you answer that. My point is a different one.

What, Buz? I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you over the deafening clang of you running off with your goalposts. You're going to tear up the field dragging them around like that... That runkus was the crowd after the Buzzy touchdown, making the score Buzzy 6, Froggy 0.

You are trying to use the sensation of existence that is a product of our biology to try and understand what that sensation would be like when the apparatus for experiencing existence no longer functions.
