Kerry won MI in spite of your morality test question with the marriage issue, don't know about the others but
sorry blue is blue. you can trade people in those states for ones that want to move north from the red states. we could even go down the populations to make sure of the balance. we are limited in our ability to understand by our ability to understand RebelAAmerican.Zen[Deist

RAZD writes: ah well I never saw an aussie spell them before (actually I never saw them spell anything ... ) Heh, I asked for that, didn't I? Touche, sir. *tips hat* By the way, sorry about the drift. The title was probably more useful before I dragged the thread off topic. My fault...sorry.

RAZD writes: now I am in shock ... an aussi that doesn't drink ... You sound like a Canadian guy I met once. He was astonished to hear that I don't drink. He thought that "Australian" and "drinker" were synonymous, interchangeable terms. Actually, I think his words said it best: "I thought all Australians were born with beer in their titty-bottles!"

RAZD writes: well you have to admit that it is part of the image. It seems to be, yes. In most cases, even my fellow Aussies look at me funny when I say that. I've even been accused of being "un-Australian" because I don't like beer (it's ok...he was only kidding ). Actually, I'm not sure how well I phrased that, before. When I said he thought we were all "drinkers," I just meant as opposed to "non-drinkers"...I wasn't saying that he thought all Australians were alcoholics.
RAZD writes: just like american is red-neck, beer drinking, nascar racing, barely educated, neanderthal behavior *gasp* Are you saying you aren't? No, I won't accept it! You must be an aberration! But seriously, cultures differ from one to another, but somehow I suspect that most of them share as much diversity as any other, regardless of how they are stereotyped.
RAZD writes: oh, wait, that is just republican americans ... Ha ha! You can't fool me; I'm not going there! Speaking of which, I'd better stop diverting this topic, lest I incur the wrath of the Admins.

we are both diverting it.
actually there are two things that I see as positives out of the election: (1) the republicans can no longer blame the democrats for keeping them from accomplishing great things. they can no longer blame Clinton or the congress. they can only blame themselves. (2) the continued problems with voting will lead to better systems, maybe even one to be proud of. There is a solution out there, but it will take courage and perseverance to get there. we are limited in our ability to understand by our ability to understand RebelAAmerican.Zen[Deist

RAZD writes: we are both diverting it. True, but in my case, it's because I don't actually dare discuss the topic. If you've read any of the other threads I've participated in, you most likely already know that I'm not a "heated debate" kind of person. I'm far too sensitive to get involved in these things so I tend to just watch from the sidelines. At the risk of being flamed by certain people, I'll just say one thing: I agree with you. *hides behind sofa* Please don't hurt me, anyone! Protect me, RAZD! Just kidding.

You don't want my county.
Too many of those icky gays, and legal medical marijuana. Funny how the gay marriage ammendment was rejected here 75%/25%, but the percentage of actual gay people living in this county is probably well under 20% of the population. So...that means that the straight people who are actually neighbors of gay people who don't have to hide their sexual orientation due to local religious oppression understand that gay people are simply people. Bigotry in the mame of morality. Disgusting.
