I think you hit the nail on the head. That was exactly how I was going to reply to your post before you said it. But hell I'll throw my own words in anyway! The difference between intellect is majorly influenced by a person's ability to mentally adapt [quite an appropo word for this particular forum And yes, you beat me, congratulations.... you bugger. I found the most difficult question on the test to be number 14, "determine the next item in the series J,I,H,G,K,F,A" which is located next to a simple looking diagram. Not simple enough for me I guess! I don't even have a guiding clue.The second place runner up was the baffling "If the day before two days after the day before tomorrow is Monday, what day is today?" When I read it it seems simple and I feel like I can answer the question but before I do I second guess myself and that is where I run into all sorts of problems. My guess is Sunday but it's only a guess.And Tony, remember what the test said in the intro, "If you feel your IQ is much higher then 140 we recommend trying our test for exceptional intelligence." OOO-lala.

I haven't actually tried to complete that particular test yet, but I will, and when I find my score I'll post it here. Although, it might take a while because tomorrow I have to go to Calgary Alberta to work for a week and I probably won't have the use of a computer. But do not be dismayed, I will return! Feel free to post your score if you're done the test.

Ummmmmm. I think we're talking about the wrong test here, lol. I was asking about #12 on the "Ultimate IQ Test". It has two pentagrams, one big one and one inside that one. Hey Tony,I'm glad people are posting in my thread because intelligence is something that absolutely facinates me. After all it's what separates us from the animals right? Anyways, Tony, you HAVE to do the ultimate iq test and tell me what you get and talk to me about whatever troubles you, if anything! I would talk more but my rum and cokes are awaiting me...-Sean

I literally laughed out loud when I read that because I've had the exact same experience! This old oriental lady that you would see in movies like "crouching tiger hidden dragon" taught me how to fly, only when she showed me the position I had to be in it was exactly the way I was sleeping. So, if you could picture it, I was flying in a fetal position with my head on my right shoulder and my arm projecting straight out. The flying, however, was totally worth the embarassing position.

Done that too. Ever dream of a really hot girl and just when things are going your way the alarm goes off and you have to actually get up and press the snooze button? If you're wondering I place my alarm out of my arm's reach so I'm forced to wake up. So pressing the snooze button is only reserved for those really good dreams.

Tony do you like playing chess? I love the game and when I'm not on my mission for truth ( ) I'm on a mission to be the best chess player I can possibly be. Sounds like a commerical I know...but it's best game I've ever played. Anyways, if you do let me know and we'll talk.

You should read this article which was written by the theoretical physicist Michio Kaku. He writes beautifully, much like you do, and you can tell he's a smart guy. I find it's really easy to discern the smart ones even before they've said anything intelligent by the way they write. They just seem "clear", know what I mean?Anyway, I'm sure you'll enjoy it, I did. You can read his other articles also, there's a menu on the side that have more. Talk to ya again soon,

Well, I read your thread, and I gotta say I'm just as stumped as you are. I'm not sure if I can perceive extra dimensions either, but try this:Imagine the Earth, now, zoom out wayyyyy out. Further, c'mon don't be afraid! Now.... you're at the "end" of the Universe and the Earth is well beyond a speck, in fact, if you did see a speck it would be universal in size compared to the Earth. Suddenly, you can preceive that you're moving, and fast! The Universe is still expanding, into what? Who knows, but it is. So, you're riding this "wave" of matter and when you see the Universe as a whole you suddenly see "outside", like when you're looking at those cool 3D pictures and you kind of have to cross you're eyes to get it and then as if by magic the hidden picture pops out at you. Now that you've crossed outside the Universe imagine everything you see being contained in a cylindrical object, like a strand of hair (a really big one) that, let's say, someone is holding. I don't even know if that is creating extra dimensions, but I think to picture it you'd have to do something like that.One more example:It might help to picture the universe as a bubble. You travel to the "end" of the bubble and step outside. If the theory of parallel universes is correct (my personal facination) then you'll see other bubbles (you probably wouldn't but let's forget the actual details and pretend, for example sake). Now, these universes are all lined up, like a string of beads, they may be oscillating up and down like a wave function, or they may be lined up into a ring shape. Let's say they are. From an even bigger vantage point the bubble universes in the rings will probably just look like a solid ring. But, we know they aren't. If we think back now to someone standing on Earth there is no way they'd be able to preceive this because it's way too big, their own universe is way too big.You know what, now that I think about it, I don't think that creates extra dimensions. But I feel to get a grasp on it you'd have to mentally project like that to get any clues.I dunno, lol, I tried, tell me what you think.
