having lived in Victoria BC for several years and only having one "big" snowstorm (where they sent everyone home early -- 4" total? we went x-country skiing ...) and before that in Toronto where the weather is less severe than Buffalo ... and most of New England... it is obvious that gross generalizations and stereotypes do not the truth convey.but hey, take your snowshoes and dogsleds when you go visit next summer
