Today my wish for my southern neighbors is a properly conducted, democratic, honest election.
I have my own wishes for the outcome but it is more important that it be an honest outcome than any particular one.
I am afraid that if this one isn't either then you may not be able to get enough control to ever have one again.
Here in BC we are going to vote on changing our first past the post system. There is a very good chance we will put through reform that the major parties are not in favour of. Our current governing party with 77 out of 79 seats allowed this to take place which, given that it would not have allowed them more than 60% of the seats last time, is a pretty amazing thing.
I'm not sure that you need any kind of complex voting system like we may have yet. First you have to show that you can actually conduct an election. Good luck.

Cold?
It is so great that we are willing to put up with the cold.

In charge.
Yes, it always did bother me. We got rid of him. Your turn.
I'm impressed. I had no idea our warships had such big guns!! Or that we let them out of dry dock.
Unlike some nations we don't try to compensate with big guns.

Colleges
All the provincial universities are pretty good schools. We don't however have the elite private schools here.
I started in at UBC for a masters in physics, but realized I'm not smart enough so I bummed around Europe instead.

A warship??!!
If we have a real warship I'm writing a letter to complain about the expenditure of my tax dollars!
But I'm sure it's just an ugly rumour.
