Hi Scharfinator,

Does that mean we should stop studying it.
Well we you and I both know the traditional response the Church takes and has taken in response to the probing of God. The possibility of descovering conflicting data is to great to risk a scandal.
What better way to maintain absolute control than to dictate what and how the world and nature are interpreted. In all honesty I think that a religion that has no place for truth has no place for God either. IMO.

tamatoe, tomatoe ? lets call the whole thing off.
He is talking about spooky action at a distance.
He is talking about the randomness of a deterministic reality.
He is talking about the ultimate observer actualizing the universe.
The premise that within the fabric of reality is woven the threads of free will.
The premise that there is something rather than nothing because something wanted it to be so.
He says God, you say nature.
You say toe-may-toe and he says toe-maw-toe.

But why???
I believe the answer will never be known to humans. How could it be?
Even if scientific inquiry could someday show how abiogenis works, or what the conditions of reality were before the Big Bang. Or if the universe is open or closed. If the grand unifying theory of everything was discovered.....like a three year old there will always be another question, why? And personally I prefer it that way, how boring existance would be if we had all the answers.
God if ( he / she/ it ) exist , IMO would trancend scientific inquiry.
Yes go ahead and roll your eyes. But think about it, If you are a fish in an aquarium, do you KNOW by what mechinisms the food drops into the tank? No, all you can do is see patterns, patterns of when the food comes, patterns of what kind. etc.. and make predictions on that. Humans have drilled down to the very bottom of what makes up our reality, and we have found it to be unknowable. There is nothing there. It is all being manifested by something, but what? and why? I do not think we will ever know.
Ok, line up and stone me now!!!
