I'm referring to this.. So you are right in that I don't support depriving charities involved in combatting cancer of funds. I don't see any good purpose served in threatening to protest outside of the centers belonging to, or negatively affect the public image of, a charitable organisation involved in the palliative care of cancer sufferers.TTFN,WK

If anything doesn't need protecting its humanity's number one pastime. So heterosexual people who don't want children shouldn't be allowed to get married then, right?TTFN,WK

The New York Times has an Op-Ed article relevant to the ongoing off topic discussion.In it a case is put forward that rather than gay marriages representing a substantial change in the nature of marriage it would simply be another small step on a path which has been ongoing throughout this century during which the institution of marriage has already undergone many radical realignments.TTFN,WK

Well I'm glad you feel qualified to criticise an article you haven't even read.You seem to be heading into another of those unfortunate directions which leads you to extoll the virtues of a man who blackmails cancer charities.You are now arguing that it is a bad thing that the state or people's parents no longer arrange their marriages, that women are no longer considered mere extensions of their husbands and that women are no longer automatically assumed to be obliged to provide their husband with sexual favours on demand.Is that actually your position?TTFN,WKP.S.
