Take out the philosophy class part (my high school didn't offer one) and you pretty much described me.
I also grew up in SW Virginia, I am an Eagle Scout, and lets just say that I never got the God and County award in scouts. I was in the Martinsville area then.
Now I am in Richmond, and my boss's wife tried to pry the Darwin Fish off the back of my MINI with her car key! How's that for a hostile work place?
