I'm wondering if religion should fundamentally be viewed samelike as the rest of Creation, the animals, and plants, the stars and planets, and people, or if it should be viewed as separate from the rest of Creation.
If I view it as separate, then religion tends to become like a god unto itself, infallible standing above all Nature, an "extension" of God.
If I view it as part of Creation, then it becomes more like a sort of natural being. In some anthropology documentary I saw about people living in a rainforest, I had a very clear sense of their religion as a separate (and wonderful) being from the people believing it. The religion having a worth to itself so to speak, similar to when God tells about creating planets for instance, and seeing the planets as "good".
