And I'm sure all our best wishes go out to you, too. You're always welcome back at any time. Any inactive member can always change his status back to active just by visiting his profile page (while it's been tested, I've never had a member actually do this yet, so anyone who hits a bug trying to return to active status should just send email to an admin).
Since you're inactive now and cannot reply I won't respond to your previous message, it wouldn't seem fair. All the best!

I've run afoul of Percy's debate standards before, and it does smart. However, the entire active membership of EvC makes it a great place, and it's not something I could easily give up. Take care, nwr, you'll be missed.

I am leaving this site. I did not join evcforum to participate in public drama. I joined to participate in rational discussion. This, from the guy who felt it was completely reasonable to reject a scientific theory because he didn't like the color of an avatar? Look, nobody has to post here. When it stops being fun, you should stop doing it. But do we all have to be subjected to these attempts at self-martyrdom? It's all sour grapes; stuff and nonsense. If you don't want to post here anymore, don't. But try to refrain from acting like you're the last champion of reasonable debate on the internet as you scuttle away, ok? Especially when we can instantly disconfirm that with a quick peek at a posting history.

The Admin population has been severly depleted!
Time to drag Mooses ass out of retirement again? Brian.

For a while there it looked as if we nearly all were admins! The Admins certainly outnumbered the regular posters. Think the arse has fell out this place now. Brian.

I can't remember: did Rob quit voluntarily, or was he suspended? I can't find his account info in the members list.
Edited to add: Never mind, I found a post he wrote and was able to view his topics page. He is inactive, which suggests he was booted. No button for his profile. So, do inactive members have no profile page, and therefore do not show up on the membership list? Edited by Chiroptera, : No reason given.

Rob was suspended because he kept sending "preaching" e-mails to the administrators.

I guess he was banned by Asgara here: Message 27
But I seem to recall him saying he was leaving after Faith was banned.

Chiroptera writes: So, do inactive members have no profile page, and therefore do not show up on the membership list? It may seem a little counterintuitive, but here's the way it works. Anyone can make their account inactive by going to their own profile page. To get to your profile page, click on the "Profile" link at the top left of the page while you're logged in. This feature was added to satisfy a longstanding request to be removed from membership in EvC Forum. But deleting an account orphans any messages posted under it, so the inactive category was created. The profiles of inactive accounts cannot be accessed by other members. However, an inactive member can still visit his own profile page by logging in (inactive members can still log in) and then clicking on the profile link mentioned above. This makes it possible for inactive members to restore themselves to active service.

It seems that Ringo also decided to leave.
Everything I said about nwr also applies here. I'm sorry to see you go and hope that one day you'll be back.

Yup. There it is in my profile page: the inactivate button. Thanks, Percy.

Not Ringo, too! Geez, this is worse than when Faith was banned.

Thanksgiving Day Massacre indeed! Although it seems not so much a single massacre but a series of dominoes knocking each other down.
