"I did not go to the Web site, which I understood maybe I should've done," he said. League officials said they also sent a letter to Mr. Bridges' office and are investigating whether the document has been distributed in any other statehouses across the country. ... Rep. Scott Hochberg, a Jewish Democrat from Houston, said he was disturbed by the memo and the "nonsensical, anti-Semitic rant" in the Web site - but that he believed Mr. Chisum's statement that he was "blindsided." "I take him at his word," Mr. Hochberg said.
